"Set a goal and work to accomplish that goal", was the message given to the students attending the Take School By Storm Rally. The Rally started with many activities around the concourse of the FirsTier Event Center.
The students could get autographs from the Tri-City Storm players, compete in a cup stacking contest, take aim at the bull's-eye with archery, and many more activities. The Rally officially dropped the puck with the announcement of the Tri-City Storm players. Lexington Middle School yelled loud for Team Shur-Fine during the scrimmage. The scrimmage ended with a shoot out. The students got words of wisdom about school and life from several speakers including Bliss Littler, Head Coach of the Tri-City Storm. The Rally concluded with a lunch provided by Affiliated Foods Midwest. With the Rally completed it was time for the Lexington students to take to the ice. Students got a chance to lace up some skates and test their skating abilities. For some it was the first, others looked very experienced. Students also completed a Language Arts and Math activity while at the arena.
