7th Grade reading students that made their AR Goals for the first term were awarded with a double period of gaming, snacks, and hanging out with friends. Students were required to earn their AR Goal in their reading class and had to have 85% reading comprehension on AR Reading tests. Students that met both their AR Goal and averaged above 85% reported to the stage for an hour and a half of fun. Students that did not make their goal were required to read their AR books for the time slot.
Games included the popular Dance-Dance Revolution, Wii Sports, Guitar Hero, and Nintendo games: Wrestling, and Mario World. While students waited to play, they munched on snacks, played card games, and chatted with friends. Everyone seemed to enjoy the reward.
