7th Grade Students Are Learning to Classify

7th grade students are working hard on their observation skills to classify various "organisms". They worked in class on classifying their shoes. It took them a while to learn to think as a scientist and not as a 7th grade student. Once they got the hang of it they began to see how they classify in their everyday lives. They now are working on classifying a group of "organisms" that each group brought into class. The students have to classify the items, create a classification tree, write a dichotomous key and take pictures of each "organism". The groups will then post their findings on their Wiki site.
