LMS received news in late spring that our school has been approved for accreditation by AdvancEd and North Central Association. This is a national recognition that engages the entire school community in a continuous process of self-evaluation, reflection and improvement.

Lexington Middle School teachers gathered on Monday, September 28th to continue the discussion of school improvement. The CIP (Continuous Improvement Process) is a state developed process where staff work towards improving our school. All staff members are involved in one of the seven standard committees. LMS staff spent the day working on recommending ways to enhance our school's performance in the various standards. The seven standards are: Vision and Purpose, Governance and Leadership, Teaching and Learning, Documenting and Using Results, Resources and Support Systems, Stakeholders Communications and Relationships, and Commitment to Continuous Improvement. This is an ongoing process and commitment that will be revisited periodically throughout the year.
